Us
Activated carbon is used worldwide to protect human health and the environment, and to improve the quality of life. The global importance of activated carbon as a filtration and purification technology has led to the development of a growing international industry of activated carbon manufacturers, distributors, reactivators and users. The International Activated Carbon Manufacturers' Association (IACMA) has been created as an international organization of manufacturers, distributors, reactivators and users to assist the industry with its growth ambitions.

- Promote consistent and technically appropriate quality, performance, and testing standards for the safe and effective use of activated carbon; and
- Provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and information among manufacturers, users, suppliers, government agencies, and other related or interested organizations in conformity with all legal requirements.
